BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Barry is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, which is a national association of more than 2500 lawyers who have made outstanding contributions to the field of trust and estate law. He was a member of the Joint MBA/BBA Committee on the Uniform Probate Code, which drafted legislation that substantially overhauls and improves the state's probate laws. The Uniform Probate Code became law in Massachusetts in 2009. Additionally, he was a Founder and Director of the Central Massachusetts Partnership to Improve Care at the End of Life and Past President of the Central Massachusetts Planned Giving Council. Mr. Barry is an officer of the Greater Worcester Estate and Business Planning Council and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Fallon Clinic Foundation. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Worcester County Bar Association, often serving as the Chairman of the Worcester County Bar Association’s Tax, Trust and Estate Section.

Mr. Barry is a contributing author of Drafting Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts, published by the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE). He has written other articles appearing in publications by both MCLE and the Journal of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. Mr. Barry often presents lectures on estate planning to both the general public and fellow attorneys.

Mr. Barry is a graduate of Boston College where he received his B.S., cum laude, in 1980. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 1983.
