BIOGRAPHY
Marisa W. Higgins is an Officer with the firm who concentrates her practice in all areas of domestic relations law, including divorce, separate support, real estate and business valuation, custody of children, paternity, drafting of pre-nuptial agreements, validity of pre-nuptial agreements, and modification of prior judgments.

Ms. Higgins has been selected as a Rising Star, a distinction awarded to the top 2.5% of lawyers under the age of 40, by Law & Politics and Boston magazine. She was a recipient of the Worcester Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty award in 2009. In addition, in 2008, she was named a Women of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts.

Ms. Higgins is an active member of the Worcester County Bar Association where she has served as a co-chair of the New Membership Committee. In addition, she currently serves as a member of the board of the Rainbow Child Development Center. Ms. Higgins is a frequent participant in the Probate & Family Court Lawyer for the Day Program and has accepted cases on a pro bono basis through the Volunteer Lawyers Service of the Massachusetts Justice Project and the Worcester County Bar Association.

Ms. Higgins graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 1999. She received her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 2002, where she served as an editor on the Villanova Environmental Law Journal. While in law school Ms. Higgins was the recipient of the Wapner, Newman, Wigrizer & Brecher Award for excellence in trial advocacy.

Ms. Higgins is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
