March 29, 2007 - Nisha Koshy Cocchiarella, an attorney with the law firm of Fletcher, Tilton & Whipple, has been named a 2007 "Woman of Distinction" by the Girl Scouts of Montachusett Council. A luncheon honoring Ms. Cocchiarella, and the other featured women of distinction, will be held at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester on Tuesday, April 10th at 1130 am.

The Women of Distinction award is given out annually and recognizes women for showing exceptional dedication to her profession, being an inspiration to her co-workers and positively affecting her community. Each Woman of Distinction, though not necessarily a Girl Scout herself, personifies the qualities of the Girl Scout experience: strong values, social conscience, and conviction about the potential and self-worth of every girl.

Nisha Koshy Cocchiarella is an attorney with Fletcher, Tilton & Whipple focusing her practice in civil litigation. Nisha dedicates her career to assisting businesses and individuals with many needs including contract and partnership disputes, as well as representing employers and employees concerning discrimination, unfair competition and compensation issues. Nisha also assists Worcester community non-profits on various litigation matters.

Nisha is an inspiration at FTW as she is a very successful, positive, full-time working mother. She and her husband, Andrew Cocchiarella, live in Holliston with their 2½ year old daughter, Sophia, and are expecting their second child in May 2007.

Nisha volunteers her time with the Worcester County Bar Association's New Membership Committee where she is responsible for welcoming new attorneys, helps make introductions to judges and senior attorneys and encourages them to take advantage of community opportunities within Worcester County.
